How To Develop Long Tail Keywords Easily And Naturally

Due to fierce competition it’s not so easy getting on Google’s first page for single or popular keywords anymore. Incorporating long tail keywords in your everyday search engine optimization, or SEO, is a strategy that will still get you results and traffic. Keyword phases that contain more then one word to make up a keyword are also called long tail keywords. Here are some shining examples of multiple keyword phrases:

* multiple keyword phrase research

* multiple keyword phrase search

* multiple keyword phrase marketing

* how to use long tail keywords

Here are some benefits when using multiple keywords in your writing and marketing:

* The traffic you get is free; you only spend some time doing the research

* The traffic you get is focused traffic, so a lot of the marketing work has already been done

* People that tend to search long tail keywords are more likely to click your link and then buy from you

* The competition on multiple keywords is less then for single word keywords

* It’s easier to ranked highly for those long tail phrases by Google

Probably the simplest way to long tail keyword development is simply just to write about a specific subject extensively. What we did with our site is to write a whole series of articles about traffic generation. Keyword research was discussed in one entry. Keyword links in another. The search engine optimization article naturally flowed into the SEO spider likes and dislikes article.

All different articles, but all of them dancing around the same theme. And this strategy will extent itself naturally to long tail keyword development, because when you talk about a broad subject, like traffic generation, the same keyword phrases keep popping up. It’s almost too easy.

What is important in this strategy is to do some initial keyword phrase research to get you going. And long tail keyword research, also called multiple keyword research, is no different from ordinary keyword research. Lets use Google Keyword Tool and start of with something basic, like ‘keyword’. Get those related keywords and just scroll trough them.

On the left of the Google Keyword Tool page, right next to the keyword, is a bar showing you how stiff the competition is for your selected keyword or keyword phrase. And that’s why you want to use long tail keyword phrases. Because the longer the tail of your keyword, the less likely you are to encounter fierce competition with it. The competition for ‘get traffic with article marketing’ is a lot les then for the shorter keyword phrase ‘get traffic’. And also a lot more focussed. If you find a long tail keyword with a massive search volume and very little competition, you have a winner.

Now go through this process and look up the multiple keyword phrases that you would like in your website content or article and write then down. Use these 3 to 5 word keyword phrases in all the blog entries and articles you write, and remember to include them in your headings as well. Keep on writing articles on roughly the same broad subject, including more and more of your selected long tail keywords, and eventually the search engines will consider you an authority on those keyword phrases. And that will get you focussed traffic and sales.
